If you’re a follower of Christ and are wanting to take your relationship with Christ to the next level - this is the message for you. The first step? Surrendering control. It’s one thing to bring Him the broken things, but he wants us to give up control of the good things too. We can trust His dreams over our own!
“Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self.” Matthew 16:24-25Read More
This Sunday was powerful as we started The Altar series talking about brokenness. If we want to get well, we can’t keep doing what we’ve always done! What broken things have you been carrying around that God is asking you to lay down on the altar? Sometimes we’re trying to place a comma where God has put a period - he’s asking us to lay it down and trade it for joy and peace in Him, who cares so much for us!
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
"I don't love my neighbor to convert them; I love my neighbor because I have been converted." Shawn Reine joined us this Sunday with a challenging message on what it means to truly love our neighbors - showing empathy with action! Who is our neighbor? The people around us! Maybe God has placed us exactly where we are to love those right next to us.
“If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.” - 1 John 4:20-21Read More
